Gwyneth Paltrow Swears By This Bizarre (And Painful) Beauty Treatment For Glowing Skin

Gwyneth Paltrow has long been known for her alternative lifestyle (“consciously uncoupling”, anyone?) that she happily broadcasts on her blog. But her most recent beauty therapy is just too weird (and painful) for words.

If you’ve ever wondered how Gwyneth, 43, stays so radiant and beautiful, you might put it down to her strict vegan lifestyle.

Or maybe her range of vegan beauty products that she swears by (and sometimes eats, according to her blog)?

Or MAYBE her enjoyment of quinoa whiskey (whatever that is)?

Nope. In a recent interview with the New York Times, Gwynnie revealed she’s paid to have her skin stung by bees, describing the process as “pretty incredible”.

“I’m open to anything,” she said, “It’s a thousands of years old treatment called apitherapy. People use it to get rid of inflammation and scarring.”

Although Gwyneth also says in the interview she “doesn’t seem to care as much” about being in “tiptop shape”, confusingly.

“I don’t use bronzer. You need technique to use bronzer, highlighter and BB cream, all these things my daughter tells me about,” she says, “I think [Apple] is going to be way more into beauty than I am.”

But please, Gwyneth, save the bees and keep their stingers away from your daughter’s face.
